Our Quality Control and Shipping Manager is Grant Bygd. He is the son of Bygd Precision President Sandra Bygd. Grant has worked part time for 8 years at Bygd Precision and full time for 4 years.  Grant received a Bachelors Degree in history and a minor in advertising from the Winona State University in 2005. Since then, Grant has taken control of the shipping department, quality control department and performs other various tasks in and outside the office here at Bygd Precision.  We are confident that Grant will learn and continue the wonderful tradition of excellent service under the President Sandra Bygd.

Dan Kahl is our Production Manager here at Bygd Precision. Dan began work in 1988 as a machine operator, since then, he has risen to Production Foreman.  Dan is responsible for generating setups, training new and current employees, and managing employees. He is capable of creating very specific prototypes for customers and is excellent at holding high tolerance levels up to .0001. Dan, ensuring the highest quality and customer satisfaction, does all of our complicated setups, operations, and detailed work.  Dan also is excellent at quoting and customer relations. He is available to answer any technical questions a customer should ask. Dan is truly an expert in the field of CNC machining. 

Lon Christopherson is our Lathe Department Supervisor here at Bygd Precision.  Lon began work in 1987 as a mill and lathe operator, since then, he has become the head supervisor in the lathe department.  Lon specializes in programming, setups, and operating lathe equipment. He has formal training of conversational and G code programming for all types of CNC equipment.  He is capable of holding high tolerance levels up to .0001, as well as, building customer prototypes.  During his years at Bygd Precision, Lon has been an intrical part of the quoting and pricing process.  On top of his regular duties, he trains new and current employees in the lathe department, as well as, overseeing the OSHA safety standards throughout the shop.  Lon is a highly valued member of the Bygd Precision organization.

Cory Knutson is our Materials Manager here at Bygd Precision. He is responsible for the computer and information technologies that assist employees with accurate communication of customer purchase order requirements. Cory was hired in 2001 as project manager for the installation, and operation, of new shop management software (database). This database is now central to the processing and tracking of all vendor resources, customer shipments and a sufficient inventory status of material stock. In 2004 Cory received an Associate of Science in Technical Studies degree from WITC with a concentration in supervisory management and computer information systems. He now serves as a primary point of contact for Bygd Precision with a focus on procuring future opportunities through the high quality and customer service standards that define Bygd Precision.
